How to get my soft  Sandy Coral look!!!

This palette is Revlon ColorStay Not Just Nudes! I've had this palette for a long time and still get a lot of use out of it. This is the first palette I pull out to start my base. These shades don't have names unfortunately, so I use the two soft pink colors on the bottom row. I mix the two and put that all over my lid. Then I use the second color on the top, the Maroon, to start as a darker color to my crease.

This palette is Tartelette Toasted! Not only does it smell amazing but the pigment is the best I've ever seen. So after I've used the Maroon in the last palette, I go in and start with "Cozy" to my lid and almost work that into my crease as well to blend in with the Maroon. After that, I use "Flame" and tap that all over my lid for some glitter on top. I also mix "Cozy" and  "Flame" to apply to my under lash line, where your eyeliner would go.

This palette is Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale, The Beach Goddess. This palette is perfect for summer and spring. I love the coral and sand colors. I use the first two glitter shades to add to my lid.

This palette is Tarte Rainforest of the Sea (foil finger paints) and no I don't use my fingers to put it on. I still use my blending blush. I love all the colors in this palette, but for my sandy coral look I just use "Sailor's Delight." I add more glitter to the top to finish the look off and add a little to the inner crease of my eye.

Tips & Tricks I've Learned !

  1. This first one might be apparent to everyone, but you should always take your makeup off at night. Whether its with a makeup wipe, or a cleanser. When your foundation and everything on top of it is sitting on your skin overnight, not only is it drying out your skin, but it gives your skin no way to breathe at night. You are more prone to acne, dehydrated skin, and clogged pores.

  2. When you're using moisturizer, primer, or serum of any kind you should not rub it in or drag on your face. That'll cause wrinkles and unwanted damage to your skin. What you should do is, put some on the tips of your fingers and rub it in to warm it up. After, apply it to your face by patting it into the skin. When you pat it into the skin, your  skin is absorbing it, which is what you want.

  3. Do NOT put your foundation on without using a moisturizer or primer before. Trust me!! It changes the way your foundation goes on.

  4. Make sure you are exfoliating. The only way to get rid of the dead skin is by using a exfoliant every week. I try to do it twice a week. So if you want, to make it easier, Exfoliate on Monday, and then again on Friday or Saturday.

  5. Always use powder before you leave your house, even if you aren't oily. If you're in the sun, or going to be outside if you've already put powder on, you're less likely to look oily or show sweat. Also, carry powder with you in your purse!! It'll come in handy.

Messy Beach Waves

If you're looking for a tousled, sort of messy, but perfect beach wave, then keep reading!!! This is your look that makes it seem like you didn't really try hard, but let's be real, we try. We all want to look good and feel good and there's nothing wrong with that. We should feel empowered and beautiful everyday because we are. If you want to take an extra fifteen minutes on your hair then you normally do because you want to look super done up, then do it. Lord knows half the time I do, and that is okay. :)

I use the 5 in 1 curling iron by Bombay Hair. It comes with 5 different irons that you can attach to your bottom piece that also comes in the set. I use the biggest barrel to achieve this look. When I'm trying to go for a more natural beach wave, I like the curls to be bigger so they flow more naturally. I'll put all my hair in the front, evenly on both sides, and I start from the back and work to the front. I don't put it half up, because that just never works for me. I like to have all of my hair down while I'm curling it. It's way easier for me that way.

My April Favorites

The first link is to buy this product online. I got mine from the salon where I get my hair done. My hairdresser recommended this serum for me. I use it after I get out of the shower, and I comb my hair straight and then put it up in a towel before I blow dry it. After i blow dry my hair I put this in again. My hair will stay straight and just the way I want it all day. I swear by this!!!
